Meet Raquel Moran the owner of El Maguey Mexican Restaurant in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

We are the newest and freshest Restaurant in town, located just one minute from Interstate i65, exit 22 going east, at 4700 Scottsville Rd, next to The Comfort Inn. Easy access to plenty of parking, with inside and outside dining. My name is Raquel Moran, I’m the owner of the restaurant and my mission is to serve outstanding, regionally inspired authentic Mexican cuisine. The food I serve is the food I grew up with and I’m exceptionally proud of our reputation for “homestyle comfort food”. I’m very picky about where I source my ingredients. I choose locally grown whenever I can and ensure everything that comes to our kitchen door is fresh and of exceptional quality. I have been running restaurants for over 12 years and my success is because of the high standards I demand and my attention to giving my customers a great experience. I learned this from my mother who owned three restaurants in Chicago. My earliest memory is helping my Mom in the kitchen and then later working with her in the restaurants. I’m proud of my family’s tradition and love making people happy with great, wholesome food. You can check out our menu here. When you step into our restaurant you will immediately notice how much we care about our customers. Our welcoming atmosphere is inspired by the lavish use of natural woods and elegant recycled decor. This is definitely not a corporate restaurant! Repurposed barn wood, lampshades and recycled surfaces from across the region provide an old-world-meets-new setting for a memorable relaxed dining experience. The walls are lined with pictures and artwork collected from our travels and from our local farmers and suppliers. We have a bar and TV screens for your entertainment. Welcome!
